Can my brother get a Class 1 in America ? He failed one here due been just outside the limits for an astigmatisim. If he can does that mean he has to train in the US opr is it just a no no. thanks lads

Oh I understand that but I thought this may fall under the question thread. Its more a question re can he take the exam in the US over say the specific's of the medical exam itself. But thanks anyway

I had heard many stories about taking a medical exam in US. However, still I can not answer you this question. I guess your brother can contact a doctor on a phone in US.

The main thing for the FAA is that someone needs to be able to meet the standard and it does not matter if they require a correction for this.

FAA Medical Examinations can be done in the UK as well as in the US.
