This one is 82 years old. A Ford 4AT's behind the lineup of terrestrial Fords.

One of my regrets was not going for a ride in EAA's Trimotor at Oshkosh. One day...

Surprise was being at Catalina Airport in 2000 when the 1960s version, a Bushmaster 2000, hove noisily into view and landed. Smashing!

Mine too treadi but I did take a flight on Concorde at Oshkosh. Several Trimotors are still flying so suppose I still have the chance of a flight.

High Treadi, Did it at Oshkosh twelve years ago. Brilliant, worth every penny. Done Concorde as well [thank goodness] Never miss an opportunity to do these things Ticks in boxes is what life is all about. Currently recovering from serious but hopefully succesful surgery, so very glad I did these and other things..:)

Lovely photo (except for the bloke on the left :8). How old is the JU-52 of Lufthansa ? It must be of the same vintage and is still flying and looking in tip top condition.

Lufthansa's Ju52 was built in '36, so she's 75. Missed a ride in her out of London City Airport, fully booked when I applied! Blast...

Oldest I've managed was a 1929 (I think) Stinson SM-8 out of Space Coast Airport.

JEM60, sorry to hear that you've been unwell, hope that your recovery is swift and painless.

Actually this was my second ride in a Ford: Rode one from Put-In-Bay to Port Clinton OH (Island Airways) 45 years ago.

EAA's ship is a 4-AT-E, originally had Wright J6-7 engines, now powered by P&W R-985s. Being the lighter 4-AT model, it is legal for single-pilot ops, per Capt. Colin Soucy.
