Ok, everyone seems to ask this, but what the heck....
A friend and I will be working at LHR over the summer for BAA. We are the student survey team, who record the times that the departing aircraft take to move from the holding position on to the runway, and how long after each aircraft is given clearance it starts rolling! BAA then go to each airline and say - Oi, your A319 pilots are too slow at .......
The idea is BAA get feedback into which areas of taxiways need widening, how they can help make your lives easier, but at the same time how you can speed up so BAA can fit in extra slots each day at LHR!!
We shall be sitting on the tower roof with a scanner and a mini-computer so feel free to give us a wave!!
Anyway, the point is .... any chance of short-hop in the jump seat so that we can see what goes on from your point of view?
