Does anyone know if IAG are looking to standardise (or in part) the products on offer between BA and IB?

Basically, are IB going to have to up their service levels in both hard and soft products to even come close to BA?

There are no plans at present for BA and IB to standardise there onboard products.

BA is by no means my favourite airline but it would have to descend a long way to get close to the Spanish airline It Beats Every Record In Awfulness.

Given the structure of Iberia, there is little hope of improvement there.

IB's service levels must be really bad if they have to up them to meet BA's.

IB operating from T5, if it goes ahead later this year/early next year will drive this.

Over time I'm sure there will be some harmonisation of the products such as jointly developed long haul business class seats etc (but with different furnishing to match the brand image).

To give Iberia credit, there are some areas where they are better than BA such as short haul business class. And as for BA, the mood music has definitely changed and there is a lot of investment coming in improving the soft product in premium cabins. It has been confirmed that catering is to be improved in WT+, CW and First.

After spending a decade battling numerous legacy issues, and with the cabin crew dispute almost behind it, dare I say that (pending nothing coming from around the corner to throw it off course) BA may entering a renaissance?

You have a source for this? The whole T3 revamp was to get the Oneworld partners together under one roof, not split between T3 and T5.
What's getting the boot from T5 to make way for this? Is it just Iberia or Vuelling as well?
Are Menzies setting up handling in T5 as well?

Iberia moving to T5 from the winter season is definitely under serious consideration. There are issues around systems and processes that need to resolved for this to go ahead. This was confirmed in a recent update for institutional investors.
