here (http://www.oziexplorer.com/)

(under what's new)

This is an interesting development because of the huge number of free maps that are "around" for Oziexplorer, on P2P/torrent.

They are supposedly working on an Ipad version.

Thanks. I would also highly recommend "LOCUS PRO" which has a nifty add-on for downloading free maps (including UK OS)for offline use.

AUS$25 to buy the latest beta! And you still need to buy the desktop version to make your own maps.

Orux (free), Locus Pro (£3.50), TrekBuddy (free), etc etc. Some use Ozi maps, make your own with Mobile Atlas Creator, or use any number of free desktop calibration software after scanning your own.

Another possibility ... Backcountry Navigator ... links with many maps worldwide, including OS in the UK.

You need to buy the windoze version to calibrate maps, but you don't need to calibrate maps where somebody already did that for you e.g. these (http://www.zen74158.zen.co.uk/maps/)

There are many (up to date) aviation charts "out there".

Using Demapper & Orux Desktop it took less than 5 minutes to turn GNC4.ozf2 into a sql map file that can be used by Orux, Trekbuddy, Locus & probably Backcountry Navigator. If you're using somebody else's Ozi maps, there's no need to pay a 'special price' of AUS $25.

There are many (up to date) aviation charts "out there".Where?
