Can someone please explain the difference between a LAME (Licenced Aircraft Maintenance Engineer) licence and a AML (Aircraft Maintenance Licence)...
Is there any difference??

An AML is the piece of paper that the LAME has to have to be a LAME..

Without it, he is not a LAME. Without a type rating on it, he cannot hold a valid company approval to certify work and sign off CRS's for that type.

This bloke lost his light aircraft (pre EASA) AML and forged another to work as an LAME... (http://www.sussex.police.uk/news-and-events/news/2010/09/03/fake-air-engineer-goes-to-prison-after-sussex-police-investigation)
