Is it safe to assume that the much heralded return of the POS-LHR route using 777’s is a non-start for July?
It’s already June, and yet I see no booking info or marketing on CAL’s website for the route, nor heard of any concrete lease agreement in any of the major aviation publications for the 777’s. Can anyone shed any light?

If the following article is credible, it very much seems they (CAL/Air Jam) have delayed it from the Jamaican side of the route (which must be the same for the POS-LHR route):
Posted 21/03/2011
Caribbean carrier Air Jamaica is to delay the proposed relaunch of flights to London Heathrow from July 2011 to early 2012, according to a senior executive. The timetable for the airline’s return to the long-haul market was always ambitious, but it appears that problems securing slots at the UK airport and sourcing a Boeing 777 to operate the route are understood to be the reason for the delay. Air Jamaica had previously held slots at the London airport but sold them to Virgin Atlantic when it withdrew from the UK market.
