Seems Ek are short of pilots again!!!!!!:= . Ek want to go to 1000 hours and reduced layover times . Watch this space They are going to kill us , were behind in numbers with a few guys moving on and new airframes coming each month.

what reduced layovers? hours seem to always go up in summer

EK have been pushing for a legal rise to 1000hrs for a few years, and for some reason the GCAA have shown a modicum of backbone and have refused.

I am guessing that this is another attempt to try and mitigate the looming shortage of crew...

1000 hours eh!? I don't know what these airlines think we're made of? They certainly don't want us to have a life outside of work by the looks of it. I'm knackered and I only do around 550 hrs with a UK operator!!

Guys, lets be positive here, this is not going to happen.

It's the regulator that decides, not EK. If it does get changed then it will be seen by the competitors as an indirect subsidy, they won't allow that to happen !

Been on reserve for 15 days already and no flights.....are you sure EK needs more pilots......

What fleet and grade are you palm? Fo numbers seem to be fine, CAs on the mini bus fleet not so good.
