Hello smart folks out there...

In the not too distant future two completely different yet similar South African regional airlines will be interegrating.
Any suggestions on how a seniority list could/can be drawn up after the amulgamation ? Any clever mathematical formulae will be appreciated ! :)

Mmmmmm, I seem to be stalking you.

The seniority list question is obvious.

SAX can slot in under the Link pilots.
:) :) :) :)

Ok, seriously - big hot potato this one. We can't even agree on our own seniority list yet. It will be interesting to see what is the norm.

You have to be joking!!!

In a perfect world it would be date of hire....but world's not perfect, and pilots even less so...

Imagine you're a Captain on the most junior eq, and have just gotten off reserve and can hold a line.

You previously could have been a senior F/O on higher paying eq flying better routes/sked's but made the sacrifice for the sake of the command.

Now, under an integration proposal your months (years) of sacrifice to gain that command are for nought and you find you will be back in your old seat waiting once again to move up.

NO EASY ANSWERS!!!

This is one issue where everyone is truly right...

Good Luck...no math in the world can solve this age old ???????
