looks like a well-executed and nicely flown beat-up to me - tad close to the audience perhaps, but a good yeehar moment nonetheless.

I believe in the 60s the Thuds went down to 6 feet but at mach 1 or thereabouts to see if the shockwave could kill.
I think they concluded that the aircraft might kill more people by knocking heads off.
