Hi

I have a PPL and my local pub is running a Charity event and has asked if I will put 'An hour in a light plane' in the raffle. I am happy to do it and won't get any financial reward but am I actually allowed to? I know the CAA can be fairly strict on this sort of thing but I am not sure where to check.

Any comments much appreciated

Thanks

This should help:

CAA: Application and guidance information associated with Charity Flights (http://www.caa.co.uk/default.aspx?catid=1428&pagetype=90&pageid=8147)

Amongst other information, it links to AIC 70/2008 (White 153) (http://www.ead.eurocontrol.int/eadbasic/pamslight-AF72A655ADDFD9C5FE31F98036F50911/7FE5QZZF3FXUS/EN/AIC/W/070-2008/EG_Circ_2008_W_070_en_2008-08-14.pdf) which is the key document.

If its the same as NZ you will need to be a CPL WITH an operating license i.e. an. instructor. Its seems the UK CAA is slightly more lenient on these flights
