Anybody know anything about them ?
Are they still trading etc?

Yes, still operating. Last saturday there was a DBR flight from and to A`dam in Malaga Airport.

For all I know they're doing fine.
There have been discussions about switching from 757 to 737-8, which we can all hope does not happen.
Otherwise it's a keep group of people!

Yep they are doing fine !

Even made a profit in their first year now !
Winter is slow but there is a three month Argentina wet lease for one 757 and the other two are doing the own lines.

Next summer and winter is already covered...

Almost all of their captains switched jobs from Martinair to DutchBird !
Better rostering / good pay / small club etc.

Good management very experienced from multiple charter airlines.
Low overhead though.

The 737-8 will rather be an ad-on, by demand for a smaller one (by touroperaters).

Or will they switch all to Airbus....

Don't work there but latest news i heard is that Argentina is postponed now.
Until the streets are quiet again in Buenos Aires i guess

Don't get ahead of yourself...
Both Air Holland Mk III & DutchBird seem to be doing fine. In this case size does matter, both being relatively small airlines helped them avoid most of the fallout from Sept. 11. DBR even made a profit and HLN is looking into fleet expansion.

Friend of mine flies for them, He says Arg. is on hold for now but still flying Islas Canarias and Gambia.
