Hi, here are a couple of pics of a part I need identifying. All I know is that it's an IF strip from an aircraft radar unit from the mid-late fifty's and that it was brought as surplus around 1976. I was wondering if it was part of the red steer system. Any info would be greatly appreciated.

All the kit I looked after had black boxes wrapped around them. You need someone from the Gin Palace for internals.

PS. Don't think it's a collectable with the potential to be worth thousands in years to come. :)

By Jove! I do believe that fine example of British ingenuity is the Leading Edge Cooling Fan Control Module from the old Wiggins Aerodyne!

Spent many a happy weekend or Bank Holiday fine-tuning the blighter!

It does look like a bog standard IF strip. Do you have any others clues? Which aircraft it was installed in etc.
I live close to where all the third line radar servicing was done, I will ask around

Well it's not from the Red Steer, I contacted the makers. They suggested it could be from a klystron control unit of a blue sky system. I have also seen similar strips in a weather radar. I suppose this is like looking for a needle in a haystack, still it keeps me away from the wife;) I only have the photos and the description to go on so any help anyone can give me would be great
