View Full Version : Imperturbable Duxford

A few shots from a very windy Duxford. Sadly the wind prevented the Prentice, Chilton and Queen Bee from taking to the skies and meant some quick reaction reorganisation to put a programme together, which they did with great aplomb.

The rather brave display theme seemed to be very well received although from from a hard commercial viewpoint it may never be repeated as the visitors and traders seemed to be appreciably down on numbers.

But on the whole a great start to Duxford's season.

Nice! :ok:

Good to see a Meteor and I assume the G-46 is G-BBII? Long time no see...

I remember that G.46 flying underneath me when I was a new PPL. Being flown by Tony Bianchi at Booker in those days, 30 plus years ago!!
Nice shots Gary. See you at Legends.

Thanks for all the kind comments.

The Fiat is indeed the long term former Booker resident G-BBII, does anyone know where its currently based as it rarely attends displays these days.

The Catalina at Duxford is G-BPYA.

Killer Cat VP-BPS unfortunately sunk at Southampton in July 1998 with the loss of two lives, the aircraft was undergoing a rebuild at Lee on Solent.
