Basically that's the question if any body knows...
I'm a bus driver that has being shortlisted doubting which fleet to ask for, of course knowing that I will not necessarily get it.
I heard that they started pulling out the 330's. Anybody has a clue of how long is going to take? Many thanks!

no real clue, but I understand the handing back of the first two 330's to the lease holding bank was a complete cluster. Allegedly TCAS commented that if they had known how much it would have cost to turn them into white-tails, they would have kept them, as it would have been MUCH cheaper.

So not sure that bodes well for the retirement of the rest of the fleet, the only good news is that you have a good rating for going elsewhere

Caynine, who is going to the 330 flights when there is no more 330 in a few years? Not the 340 or 350(2015 delayed 1 year) not slowing the retirement of the 330 due to everything else that is coming. BTW the delay of the 4 332 due to retire this year was due to slight delay in 380/777, all back on sched in 2012. But if you want the 777 there is nothing wrong with that

Uuuh... "Few years" I really thought it would shorter.. :(
Even if they would give the 777 to me I don't feel like facing a totally new airplane plus the EK training,I guess I'll stick to the bus if I get in...
