Dear Dendmar,
Vey, very sad to learn of a good man down.
I was trying to trace George Hamilton who I knew from Swindon way back in 1963. I joined the Navy while George joined the RAF.
While serving on the Victorious I spent a lot of time in Singapore. I looked up and stayed with Georges Mother, sister and father, who also served in the RAF. So many good memories.
Yesterday I spoke to my Cousin Neil Murtough who lives in South Africa. He was very close to George in those days. I was asking after George, which initiated the internet search this morning.
I would like to pass on my condolences to his wife Hilary who I have not met and his family. Perhaps you could pass on my contact details.
