... By accident have come across a series of blogs - via Croydon Guaradian etc - in which is being claimed that during the bombing of Croydon Airport - 1940 - the adjacent Bourjois factory sustained substantial damage - and when repaired it is alleged that the remains of an old aircraft (and possibly pilot) remain interred within its walls to this day - Although reluctant to discuss the matter apparantly the incident or part of - has has been confirmed true by the Bourjois management. Comments or further knowledge please.

Posted this a while back, No responses then . . . what chance now!:ugh:
... with references to a bricked up 'solid tyred wheel with spokes' together with confirmation from the factory manager that the story is true but they will not discuss the matter further - leaves one to speculate that it was felt more beneficial in publicity value to have it beleived that the event related to a tragic aircraft accident - Rather than the dumping of an old auto or motorcyle wheel.
