See they are advertising on AFAP for a CFI/Manager Flight Operations.

Essendon based.

Any gossip out there on what this is all about/who's behind it all/what are they like??

No mention of $$ which also raises the question of what is a CFI worth?

As the award states....a CFI is worth xx,xxx dollars per annum with this and that entitlements etc etc...... but this should not be considered the final amount and opens negotiations between employer and employee.

If a CFI aint happy with what they are being paid, giving due consideration to workload and responsibility, then they need to re-negotiate or move on. Simple as that.

For example, is a CFI of a large international training school worth the same value as a small 3 staff flying school?

So many questions!!

It's a little odd seeing half the former Flight Training Australia fleet advertised for sale with a Victorian based operator. There's plenty of aircraft dealers at Archerfield who could do the same job. :hmm:

Thanks everyone for the help.

I guess the good news is that there isn't a rush of bad news about the operator!

Now to go have a chat with them.

Cheers

Did anyone notice the photo of a 182 in the slide view? It is a model aeroplane. Radio controlled going by the out of proportion prop and the spring in the nose wheel. :D
