That's excellent news.

Is the parking still the same i.e. on the grass in front of the restaurant?

Not sure to be honest, the news popped up on one of my feeds this morning, so I thought I'd share it :8

So now the big tarmac runway airfield is operated by the little gliding club with no A/G while the small grass field is run by Britten Norman?

Oh well, at least they are both available!

Yes visitor parking is to the North as usual. Booking in/landing fee payment is in the VGC letterbox to the south near the Propellor Inn or the laucng control vehicle - careful crossing to the South along the fence - tugs dangling to cables may be landing. Rumour has it the pilot lounge will still be open.

Flew there today- Now being operated by the Vectis Gliding Club. Unlicensed.

Runway & taxiways all in good shape, and grass cut. Like a ghost-town when we arrived, but soon joined by several others by lunch-time.

Very friendly welcome. You need to call for PPR on 07770 228852, then make blind calls on 123.25.

Park in the usual position in front of the old tower, then walk via the hedge boundary and pay your landing fee in the orange control hut. The Propeller Inn is right next door, and opens at 11.00.

So nice to re-visit, especially on such a lovely day.
Please fly in & give the Vectis guys your support!
