Hi papak,

As you're already going to be in the Sheraton, I'd suggest a visit to the Sky Lounge, on the top floor, just before sunset for a cocktail or two. Spectacular views as the lights come on. Be warned though that prices increase after 8 p.m.

Sky Lounge - Sheraton Hotel | Tsim Sha Tsui - Hong Kong Bars Clubs (http://www.hongkongbarsclubs.com/tsim-sha-tsui/sky-lounge-sheraton.html)

Then a short stroll to the Kowloon Centre in Ashley Road to Jimmy's Kitchen.

Jimmys Kitchen (http://www.jimmys.com/#)

And finish off with a nightcap in the, Philippe Starck designed, Felix Bar on the top floor of the Peninsula; not forgetting a visit to the "loo with the best view in town".

Then, if you've got any money left, pop across the road from the Sheraton to the harbour and catch the free ferry from near the clock tower to the Rainbow Restaurant on Lamma Island for an unforgettable Hong Kong experience. Just wait for the Rainbow boat. It's a two-can ride. i.e. 2 cans of beer; take your own onto the boat. They can be purchased at the Star Ferry terminal. The freshest seafood you'll ever eat and very reasonable, plus a free sightseeing trip through Hong Kong harbour. If the weather is good go up on the top deck. Hard to beat for value.

The there's Lan Kwai Fong on HK Island for bars, SoHo (South of Hollywood Road) also on the Island for a huge variety of restaurants. And don't miss a trip to the Peak and a meal at either The Peak Lookout Cafe or Cafe Deco. But you'll need another few months to sample many more fantastic restaurants.

Enjoy, On the beach
