hi everyone,

I've got a Rex interview next week Tuesday and I was just wondering if there are people who are familiar with Rex assessment?

Apparently it involves the wombat test?

Looking forward to hearing ur opinions

WOMBAT is a breeze, don't stress. Its just like playing a video game, only 3 at once and having to pause one every now and then to fix up the other ones.

It tests your ability to learn, not your 'actual' abilities.

Also if you're applying as a cadet with no experience what so ever brush up on the physics of flight and how planes actually stay in the air.

And have a favourite aircraft and know specs about it because they ask you this to see how keen and excited you get about aviation.

Also know the history of REX.

Other than that, its a standard job interview.

Times have changed.
In my day if you survived a Darwin weekend you got a job.

You may have already found this site through Google, but if not you might want to look at the links below to get some sort of idea of what you will be in for (I have not personally done the test)

Check out Presentation of WOMBAT (http://www.aero.ca/e_W-Presentation.html) and

WOMBAT-CS Test Scenario (Complex Systems Operator) (http://www.aero.ca/e_W_CS_Scenario.html)

Luckily the hand controller does not have any electric shock capabilities :E

Good luck tomorrow.
