Just thought i would start a thread regarding the safety aspect of landing on 23 in the strong south wind conditions. With aircraft holding for runway 27R, it all seems abit close with the turbulance factor, and windshere. Worries me when flying with the wingspan of the 340.

Any suggestions and additions to this topic are welcomed...

Hi LRC,

The only thing I can think of that is pertinent is that we don't clear a heavy for take off on 27R with a landing a/c on short final for 23.

Apart from that there are no special considerations.
