View Full Version : SAS :) winniethepooh 1st Apr 2011, 13:33 God nyhet fra SAS, ca  piloter blir ansatt før nyttår!!!! -c206- 1st Apr 2011, 14:42 nesten så jeg gikk på  8ah 1st Apr 2011, 16:04 Reality is .... Do they survive until newyear ..... heavydane 2nd Apr 2011, 11:33 Rumor is 50-60 this summer. Heavydane AnotherHardLanding 2nd Apr 2011, 21:41 Actually I think the correct number is 76 new hires. It will get higher. squares 13th Apr 2011, 02:27 Mmm, they'll have to put the ones who took voluntary hours reductions back up to full time 1st. Then comes rehiring the laid off staff....how long until they get back to square 1 and offer jobs back to crew they laid off in the end of 2001? The number I heard in late Feb was 40 but I'm sure it's gone up since then. Goldenbawls 27th Apr 2011, 13:30 Will they rejoin at the former payscale (year)? And for potential new-hires, what are the latest rumours on new terms? Klimax 4th May 2011, 09:19 75+ re-hired this year, mainly into "main-line SAS", already started or will do before the end of August. Re-hired on old payscale. The outstanding previously fired pilots will most likely not be re-hired on old payscale but be offered the "new payscale" which is substantially worse than the "old payscale". Time to command on a "real" SAS airliner these days is beyond 15 years. Many pilots still out on Leave of Absence and others on part time. It will certainly take time before any new pilots gets the "chance" of being hired. My advice. Go somewhere else with a more bright future. aloha1985 4th May 2011, 09:36 I hear rumours of average age in SAS mainline = 50 yrs. If this is true, there should be some substantial changes within the next few years. Anyone who can confirm that this is correct, or incorrect? heavydane 4th May 2011, 11:30 Sounds about right. That means we will see substantial changes in 15 years when everybody is 65! Regards Heavydane Moonwalker 4th May 2011, 15:09 ....and by that time the retirement age will be 70 ;) aloha1985 4th May 2011, 16:46 ...at which point dying on the job will be the norm :D jarmat 5th May 2011, 08:19 ...along with all the passengers.....:uhoh: dick badcock 20th May 2011, 15:18 Sorry for the thread creep; Why doesn't the www.sasflightops.com website work any longer?
