This palace was where China's first ever telephone system was installed! Evening entertainment - Start at The Den, a pub and restaurant popular with locals and expats alike, where you can get a pint of Caffreys! It is located at 4 Gongtidong Road Chao Yang District, Beijing (in the block immediately east of the Beijing Workers Stadium, in east-central Beijing). Use a search engine for more info, as there is plenty. There is a Hooters almost next door if you fancy that, too! Leave the Den, turn right (north) and cross the big main east-west road (Workers Stadium North Road) in to the Sanlitun Village area. A veritable nest of little alleyways full of bars, clubs, outdoor eating stalls, and shops. Again, very popular with expats and locals, and seems to be vibrant all night. :ok: Sanlitun - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sanlitun) |
