I qualified as an FI nearly 3 years ago. I am aware that on my first 3 year renewal, that I need to complete a proficiency instructor check. ( I have the instructing hours, no seminar).

Firstly wondering if any one could recommend an FI E in the SE of the UK (I am based at EGTF).

Secondly, any pointers as to what to expect! Anything to fear!?!

Thanks in anticipation

Try reading Standards Doc 10 (http://www.caa.co.uk/docs/33/Stds%20Doc%2010%20v5%2009%20+%20Supplement%20v1.pdf)The important point is that you can do the test any time in the last year. If you go past the expiry date you will have to do a Seminar as well!

Ground Brief 40 minutes
Pre Flight Brief 20 mins
Flight Test 1.5 hr
Debrief
Questions from Stds Doc 10

Is Shoreham too far? If not, I would recommend Dorothy Pooley
Flying Instructor Training CFI Flight School UK - Pooleys Flying Instructor School (http://pooleysfis.com/en/Flying_Instructor_Training)
