I have a CP interview for a Corporate Jet operator.

First time to be a CP.

Can anyone who has been through the process offer any advise for the CP CASA interview?

Thanks in advance...

There was a thread on this subject about a month or so ago, do a search and you should find it. I've been a Chief Pilot twice but that was in the good old days when things were different .... the reports of how it goes today are far less pleasant unfortunately.
Good luck.

Know more about the CAR's, Cao's and necessary Documentation than the Authority does and let them know it. It is pretty easy after that !!

Gees guys

It's really not that hard.

You have to have a good attitude towards compliance and know your way around the CAO's and CARs

You have to have enough commercial experience to be able to tell the odd War story yourself - the dodgy operators you have known - the Flight and Duty busts you have seen - how you handled being pressured by a boss - What happens when you write something in a mintenance release? What does your manual say? How is that going to work?

They will ask you questions about your Ops manual - it helps if you have written it yourself, or you know it backwards.

They will probably find a million problems with it, so be prepared to agree readily to change it OR defend your decision to write it that way.

On that... be ready to describe to them exactly how you will manage the Ops Manual amendments and the "controlled document" process.

The Air Operator Certification Manual will describe the process for the approval of a Chief Pilot - have a flick through that.

Good luck! :ok:
