Can anyone with BA tell me why they operate a 777 service (BA4506/4507) from Tobago to Grenada (about 75 NM) and then back to Tobago before returning to LGW.
It seems like such a short setor for that type of aircraft.

Thats no big deal at CX we operate 55 min sector DXB - BAH most of the time in a 200 but on the odd occassion a 300. We also fly HKG - TPE (1:10) and KUL - PEN (55 min)

if they fill the seats then its more than acceptable surely?

BAH - DOH is daily BA124 - scheduled for 25 mins I think.

777 designed for a mix of long and short haul ops.

It's a continuation of the LGW-TAB flight. Allows BA to sell service to both points with a single airplane, as they probably couldn't fill separate flights to each.
Appears they have local rights too, since the segment shows in timetables.

There isn't much traffic between TAB and GND so wouldn't it make more sense to operate LGW TAB GND LGW or the reverse?
