Does anybody know what is happening to the Rotary Operational Evaluation Units (RWOETU, AAC D&T Sqn etc.)? Are they being merged or relocated under the defence transformation plan?

Can't see why they would want to as they fulfil markedly different roles in different environments (maritime, SH, attack etc).

RWOETU and 667 are already merged and operating as the JHC OEU.

So is the JHC OEU all located at Benson now? Any plans to move as they will soon be short of space with Merlin, Puma and Chinook all being based there? Do they still have the trials Lynx ?

Mmmmmm Big assumption there that there'll be any Chinooks at Benson at any stage!
