Pacific Blue bases

Hi wondering if anyone in the know can tell me if and when bases in Australia will be established with Pac Blue. Or if people currently commute from Aus to NZ?

Pacific Blue Bases are Auckland and Christchurch. It has been asked many many many times and the answer is No bases in Oz.
Every road show, Cpt meeting,the same old question is asked.. CEO (PB) even said NO couple weeks ago. (they need Winston and his sighn NO!)
There was a time when there was some "friendly" rostering but this has long gone there are currently half a dozen that commute so the Brizzy flying gets lots of requests
With only 9 days off in a calander month comuting in your own time and paying for the pleasure + being payed NZD living in Oz, well kind of,Big call

Oz bases are definitely off the cards for PB..
VIPA, AFAP and every other pilot union is Oz would have something to say about a PB base in Oz...
The question has been asked many times, and the answer has always been no...

As Capt Hog has said, yes you can commute as several already do, but don't forget that your trips start out of a NZ base, you commute in your own time on staff standby travel, and your paid NZ pesos to live in Oz, which effectively gives you a 30% paycut...

BTW, those 9 days are off every calendar month, not 28 days.
