I was just browsing PPRUNE when I heard the unmistakable sound of a P51 and then saw it make a pass of the CBD. (drool) :O
Does anyone know who's it is?

Yeah you should, great there big social club, drinks every friday arvo .. my hubby been a member there for 17 yrs.. fond memories..

It was the Point Cook museum aircraft. I know because it departed PC immediately behind me, and passed me very impressively on our respective ways via Williamstown.
It passes a 172 at a very impressive rate. And yes - they sound just as good in the air as they do from then ground.
