I have a friend who sail's on a regular basis and on discussion about it, the topic came up of the one sailing experience he would love to attempt, and it was to sail around cape horn.. .Apparently this is a common understanding of professional/amateur/sporting sailors that rounding the cape is the pinnacle of sailing.. .As my passion is for flying I am curious what is your ideas on the what is the pinnacle achievment or challenge for aviators.. .I thought maybe retracing the steps of Charles Lindenberg in a light aircraft might be one.

In general pilots want to steer well clear of their penultimate flight. The only exception I could think of is Bomber Command. They always thought this one was the last, so the thought of an extra one might be slightly cheering to them.... .. .The flying equivalent of Cape Horn is perhaps crossing the Atlantic in a Piper PA128. Real chance of dying.. .. .For me it would be London to Sydney in a Paramotor.
