Hi Guys/Girls
Thought it would good to start a thread on sports in the UAE as I am soon to come out there and am keen to join a couple of teams. I'm sure there's loads of people that would like to do the same;
Having googled football teams, tennis teams and sports clubs it just comes up with random forums that are well outdated and most of the teams mentioned don't have websites.
I personally will be moving out to Abu Dhabi soon and am keen if anyone knows if there are regular 5-a-side football evenings where you just turn up and play there (Soccer). Also, are there any actual football teams or tennis teams/clubs at a reasonable level that you attend and would recommend? Obviously there are loads of watersports too (Not the type of watersports in the thread titled "Single Life at Emirates" although that sounds like there's plenty of exercise there) :E but I mean things like kite surfing clubs, wake boarding etc. Also any other sports which are popular between the pilots out there?
If anyone can give some pointers and even contact details it would be a great help. Obviously feel free to post for Dubai and Doha too for other people, but I'm specifically interested in Abu Dhabi.
