Can anyone shed any light on the rumours that little Alan was given some cold hard steel from a couple of gentlemen who are leaving shortly and had nothing to lose.

Apparently, he arrived late to the post GS washup, wanted to go after 10 mins and was given a good dose of reality.

I sincerely hope it's true, maybe the message will start to get through at last.

Spot on, Kotakota. He has tried to screw his mates and professional peers long before he ever knew what or where a UAE was.:ouch:

This is the same little man who preaches "tough times ahead' and "increased productivity" whilst wearing his pimped up Rolex.

He will never know what it is like to fly the rosters we do. Like most in management they gave up caring a long time ago. It is about containment; do as you are told, keep pushing the pilots for more and you'll get your bonus...all at the expense of the line pilots.

You can't expect anything from these types but it is still worth letting them know what we think when we get the chance.

The truth is that he is creaming it for as long as he can. He is not interested in leaving EK a better place just leaving EK as a wealthier man, a very small one at that.

It is a sad fact of life that we all need to come to terms with. TCAS and the majority of EK management do not give a sh*t what you,I or anyone of Emirates 2500 pilots has to say. They will go through the motions of having open meetings and pretending to encourage feedback however it is all a facade.

People who aspire to and occupy positions such as his have not got there because the are "good guys". They have climbed the greasy pole over the backs of others. They are self serving individuals with little morality and care for anyone's well-being other than their own. Employee morale does not feature in their management model because it cannot be quantified nor measured and as such is a myth.

Individuals of his ilk impregnate the whole of EKs corporate structure and indeed airlines worldwide. They are not to be underestimated though as they are extremely wily and astute. They can be extremely vindictive too so think twice about taking them on unless you have abundant top cover.

As BA FTM B744 he wouldn't even sell sim time to CX 49'ers (to keep them licenced) who were from his course at Hamble. No longer on a number of Xmas card lists:=

Didn't someone once post on here that it's better to keep you mouth shut and be thought of as a fool, than to open it and prove them right!

back to the thread:

Does anyone know if it happened?

No idea about this particular incident, HD, but he always gets a good dose of cold hard truth at Training meetings. I'm sure TCAS knows EXACTLEY how the troops feel.

I'm sure he'd do more if he could (no, not 'cause he's a nice bloke, but because low moral is starting to bite in the form of attrition, sick leave, non-co-operation and fatigue related incidents- neither un-crewed aircraft nor smoking black holes would do his bonus any good) but is constrained by those above (particularly one LAYER above) him.

He may be everything that is said about him, but he's no fool, and sees the coming man-power crisis looming.

Anyone else heard the rumour he's leaving soon?

Any bets on possible replacements?

I'll bet the possible replacements won't bring any great improvement, whoever they are.:ugh:
