the latest email said that the august 380 course will be filled with the 2/8 datum guys and the september course with 3/9 datum guys, what about the guys who are not on the course, they will be bypassed by less senior pilots as far as I understand it.
any thoughts?

It's always been on the datum:\:\:\:\:\ If your name is on the list you'll get a course........

if they take 4 captains and you are 5 you have to wait another 6 months, thats the way I read it now

If a trainer leaves training, he will get his turn in company seniority order, so stop sucking your thumb over being bypassed by a trainer. I think it's only 3-4 guys leaving training anyway.

Let's see how many B777 to A380 courses there will be and the incidents that will follow, when they go on line.

So far no 777 until 2012/13 that might be the bulk of the 777 retirements start, thats when there might be a surplus of 777 Capt's on paper.Once these 380's start to come the plan is for basically 1 month until all are here. No more trainers jumping the que

Payscale. I think you will find some 777 (not all) have vast Airbus FBW experience, maybe more than you :rolleyes::rolleyes:

Think on before you rush off the fly the "Ugly Bus". If you have a desire to leave at anytime you will be the must unemployable pilot on the plannet, why?

Because after 12 months you will have lost you 330/340 currency, or 777 if dumb enough to want to transfer. So think before you leap, it's not that "Super" after all. :ugh:

Puff, most big players do not give a Rats whether or not you are current on type, EK included, its Jet time they look for. Look at all the guys who went to Korean current on the 777, they had to do the course from scratch.
A rating on your licence will do.:ok:
