Traditional Ceremony Marks the Official Opening of CHC's New Regional Headquarters in Bangkok

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Dec. 24, 2010) - Following a traditional ceremony that saw nine Buddhist monks bless the office, CHC Helicopter, the world's leading offshore helicopter services provider, is pleased to announce that the company's new SEA regional headquarters is fully operational from its new location in Bangkok.

Located on the 21st floor at Sun Tower B on Vibhavadi-Rangsit Road, Chomphon, Chatuchak, Bangkok, the new regional head office consolidates most of CHC South East Asia's operations under one roof.

"This will help us to achieve synergies and leverage our broad spectrum of capabilities – to serve our customers and our partners even better," said Nico Van Der Ploeg, CHC's Regional Director.

"CHC Helicopter operates in some 30 countries around the world and we like to respect the customs and traditions of our local staff members," added Van Der Ploeg.

The official blessing ceremony began at 8 a.m., with CHC management and staff making merit at all four of the Sun Tower spirit houses before proceeding to the office for the official blessing. The Buddhist monks performed a traditional ceremony that included chanting and the sprinkling of holy water on all staff and the office before completing an anointing ceremony to seven office rooms.

Can any one suggest other local customs that should be respected at CHC locations worldwide?:E
