Whats the average time to command at flyer for a guy/girl joining with 1000 hours (airline) on to the RJ fleet?

Pre BA days it would have been 18 -24 months depending on requirements and ability to impress: 2000hrs TT.

Post BA you are looking at five years, if the fleet is still running by then! Minimum requirements 3500hrs TT.

Are there any plans for recruitment in the pipeline? You say post BA days, does that mean since becoming a subsiduary or the merger with Eurogatwick?

I believe that the RJ fleet is now over crewed and there is not going to be any recruitment onto either RJ or ATR fleet in the near future. When things do start happening again all selection will be via BA.

I'd be very surprised if the selection will be done by BA....I mean who would go through the whole BA recruitment procedure to be put on an ATR or RJ!

everybody

Anyone with the foresight (and necessary youth) to put the basic ground work in to be able to fly long haul or whatever else you want within BA.
