But do they offer adventure flights?

Only to a select few, the waiting list for that first flight is about two years long and the standards and hurdles are pretty high. You also have to sell them your soul for about 12 years.

I'm not aware of any commercial warbird flights on offer up here.

The exotics - Harvard, Tiger Moth, Yak 52, AN2 etc - are (I believe) private use only. If you're lucky enough to know one of the owners, you might also be lucky enough to get a trip. Otherwise..............:(

Just read an interesting book about Darwin in 42. An Awkward Truth by Peter Grose.

Grose covers a wartime story about a yank doing some 50 cal buffalo hunting (four legged variety) with a P40 Kittyhawk... perhaps a modern day Warbird adventure flight tourism idea there...;)

I thought the Yak was doing adventure flights out of Batchelor. I could be wrong though.

And tinny, there are heaps of buff left to the east of Darwin, a couple of 'fifties' would've come in handy some days.

I couldn't image a nicer spot than Darwhine in the dry season to wrark up the sky in a P51 or something similar.
I'll never forget Guido's Sea Fury echoing all over the town.
Across the harbour zot feet attack on Cullen Bay anyone?:E
