If you have moved to Oz but you are still in the process of doing your license convert, and your medical becomes due, would you do the full CASA medical?

When you convert your NZ licence to an Australian licence under the TTMRA, you get a one time only excemption to use your NZ class one medical with your new Australian licence until the medical certificate's expiry date.
So my recommendation would to renew you NZ class one, and then, when you're over here, start the process of an inital issue about 2 - 3 months prior to the expiry of your renewed NZ medical.
