Interesed in hearing from any SLF or staff in relation to this flight - particularly the outbound EMA-ACE that attempted to land at ACE and then diverted due to tailwinds (and rules about night landings on the other runway)

I was SLF waiting to board at ACE.

I dont know anything about that particular flight but, I was on Gran Canaria on 29/11 departing LPA-MAD and flights were badly affected by strong winds/storms.

Binter airlines had cancelled all flights at one point in the day.

Weather systems have been crossing the islands for some days and this may have had some effect on ACE flights.

Thanks for that - I understand the prevailng winds changed direction which is apparently unusual.

I was hoping to swap SLF stories with those on the inbound flight.

Nearly happened to a TCX B767 Futeventura in July, finals for landing on the very edge of the landing area due to tailwinds, 3rd attempted landing
