Afternoon all
I am continuing to develop the Sqn Memorial Room in our Hangar, but despite having multiple images of the aircraft operated by 78 Sqn in both WWI and WWII (and Aden onwards) I have a noticable lack of images of the two aircraft operated in the Suez Campaign era
On transfer from 4 Group Bomber Command, 78 Sqn transferred to the Middle East operating both the Dakota Mk IV and later the Valetta C1 at Al Mazra, Fayid, Kabrit (Egypt) in the transport role between 1945 - 1954
To put it bluntly, I only have four (poor quality) images of each type in 78 Sqn service. I'm well aware there are several old and bold & well informed members "out there", I hope that some of you gents may possibly have some hidden away images or at least may know someone that knows someone etc etc . . . ?
Please advise when convenient and thanks in hopeful anticpation for your co-operation
Kind Regards
