Yes nasty business.

Does anyone know if he's part of the Parker Helicopter business family or unrelated?

My guess from what I have been told is he might be related. My guess only based on comments made. But you would have to think its likely.

Unrelated. Very sad, very nasty piece of the district for low level ops on a hot day.

Don't stress. "Not officially released" doesn't necessarily mean that the family doesn't know yet.

That may or may not be true XXX...unfortunately

My Father-in-law learned of the demise of his well known son (my brother-in-law) in a fatal aviation accident, whilst lined-up in a queue at a small town supermarket with a certain national broadcaster news playing on the store radio.

The "we don't give a fark" PC response from them still makes my blood boil to this day.

The circumstances relating to this latest incident are very sad indeed.

The circumstances relating to this latest incident are very sad indeed.

Yes, and so very simple to avoid. This is an accident that should not be included in ATSB statistics. It is not relevant to the true accident rate and safety data that we in GA are measured on.

In fact I will go out on a limb here and say from what I can gather from several fatal accidents of late in the GA arena, which have not been your typical VFR into IMC push-on-itis, there is a very disturbing trend, or maybe its not a trend, but a sub set of circumstances which distorts the safety data by which aviation statistics are based and we are judged by. The result being a far worse picture than would apply to the majority of sensible operators.

Did any of you fllow that. Some of you who have an insight will. Basically the few morons who make up the vast majority of stats far outweigh the old 80/20 rule. Its more like 99.999% of the problems are from 0.001% of the participants.

Enough said...going to bed before I get in any more strife! :oh:
