Most UK PPruners probably saw on the news yesterday that Prince Harry opened the Wootton Bassett/RBL Garden of Remembrance (which actually is at the nearby Lydiard Park). With Remembrance Day falling tomorrow, I thought it opportune to upload images of the Garden for those curious about it.

Mods:- if you feel that either this is the wrong forum or it shouldn't be on PPrune at all, then feel free to take the appropriate action.

Lyneham Lad, very appropriate, right place, right time.
I know Wootton Bassett reasonable well, but for those like me many miles away, the pictures provide contact and offer hope that all decent people will remember the important aspects of life and country.
Well done Wootton Bassett.

Thank you Lyneham Lad. I'm serving overseas and your images have brought me home and stopped me dead in my tracks in an instant. Let me be clear here though - only in a good way.... They are truly beautiful and they have given me an emotional, yet happy 30 minutes remembering lost pals.

Stand easy boys.

Yeah, a bit soppy, I know.

What a nice thing to do.

Well done, it's good to remember them - before it becomes politically incorrect to do so.

Sleep easy lads, we miss you.

What a truly lovely & totally appropriate thing to have a Rememberence Garden so closely associated with Wotton Basset. Thank you so very much to the people of the town & area for your continuing support to our Service Personnel.

Nice touch that Harry placed his poppy in remembrance of Lance Corporal of Horse Jonathan Woodgate with whom he served in the Household Cavalry. His parents were obviously touched by the gesture.
