Hi, does anybody know whether Student pilot in command time is dual or solo? I'm currently filling KA's pre-cadet application form, thanks

SPIC = Flight time during which the flight instructor will only observe the student acting as pilot-in-command and shall not influence or control the flight of the aircraft. SPIC hours can only be accredited for graduates of Integrated Courses for ATPL (A)/(H) and CPL(A)/IR. Your Flight Time should be recorded as P1 unless the flight instructor had reason to control any part of the flight.

FLYING EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS FOR JAR-FCL ATPL(A) - as Student Pilot-in-Command (SPIC) counted in full up to a maximum of 50 hours towards the Pilot-in-Command time required for the issue of a ATPL(A).

Yes, thanks. But that doesn't answer my question though. I'm currently filling out KA's form and under their flying experience section it only has solo and dual times.

Solo is Flight time during which a pilot is the sole occupant of an aircraft (ICAO).

Dual is flight time during which a person is receiving flight instruction from an appropriately licensed and rated pilot on board a dual-control aircraft (ICAO).

So where does SPIC goes then?

thanks

if there is an instructor/check airman on board it is dual.
