Just after a definitive answer regarding the notarization of my licence.
I am an FI in Spain, but have a UK CAA Licence with all SEP,MEP,IFR priveleges. I have been offered an opportunity in Qatar, but need my licences notarized.
The Qatar Embassy in London said because I lived in Spain, I could do it here in Madrid. Then the Qatar Embassy in Madrid said I could do it at the Spanish Ministry of Interior (I don't know how, with it being in English), then they would accept it.
Could anybody clarify this situation for me, please? In the end I think I may have to go back to the UK to get it all sorted.

Many thanks

Assume you have JAR licenses and want to work at the Qatar Aeronatical College. When I was based in Doha for 2 years they wouldn't recognise my JAR PPL and would only let me fly as P U/T until I could do a minimum number of hours and a skills test. None of it ever happened because all training ceased at 40 C - which meant most of the time in the summer.

That said I suggest you call up the Qatari CAA and ask them.
