Hi - I'm a private rated heli pilot and I'm having lots of trouble finding a turbine ship and a CFI to train in and build turbine hours. I want to continue on to my commercial and instrument ratings.
It could be a Bell 206, MD500, or astar 350, EC120, etc. a light turbine would be perfect.
I live in NYC - so anywhere within easy driving distance would be perfect.
Any idea? A private owner who happens to be a CFI would be great.
I've talked to all the major schools and tour operators in the area and they seem surprisingly uninterested. I've even contacted owners on controller.com of ships that are for sale in order to find somebody who wants to gain some extra income while the heli is on the market - no luck.
Let me know if you guys have any ideas?
