Hello!

I am really confused on how can I start training in Australia as a foreign student. Flight schools require international students to enroll in the Certificate IV and other advance certificates (Instrument and Flight Instructor). But I am presently completing my PPL here eventually a CPL.

I am interested in training for Instrument (Single Engine) and other endorsements (GPS, turbine, etc.) without going through such certificate courses.

I would like to ask if anyone can enlighten me on my concern. What's the advantage of going through the certificate course rather than individual courses? What kind of visa do I need to start training in AU?

Thanks! :ok:

I would too be interested about that visa question..
I've a JAR PPL and 180hrs+ flight time, aiming for a CASA cpl,
won't come to Oz with a student visa cuz I would need to already be registered in a FTO even tough I'm oversea and everybody knows it's not a good idea to sign something with someone you have not even met.

So my simple question is : working holliday visa or skilled migrant visa?

Or tourist visa (time to check FTO out) then student visa then another visa?

I know you guys are no ambassy :p I ask that just in case one of you happen to know the answer ;)

Cheers :ok:
