I note that a former F4 uber-specialist and Wattisham staish appears to have embarked on a lecture tour featuring his illustrious uncle (http://www.holtchamber.org/2010/09/alcock_brown_stor/).

Anyone got the itinerary, should it exist? I'd love to meet the fellow again. Better still, are you here, TA?

I'm sure that Buzzy's lecture would be extremely interesting - is he doing a lecture tour or just the occasional one-off?

Good luck to the old bugger!

Beags - I've no idea. But I bet it's an interesting gig, with some family film. Did you know TA on 56 Sqn? I think he was pretty senior at Mount Pleasant before Wattisham.

He was OC 'B' Flt on 56(F) before OP CORPORATE kicked off in 1982 - my Flt Cdr when I arrived as a JP in 1981.

A chap so far ahead of the game that he would open and close a door before walking through it!

Good luck to Buzzy on his efforts. He put a lot of effort into the commemoration

So did the painters by the looks of it...Would have been nice to see thier faces when the "draft pictures" were brought out and shown to them.

(Unless they had raided a couple of airfix kits)

Geehovah.

I do remember gallon cans of car polish, and little plastic bags to segregate the coloured screw heads, so as not to mess up the flags along the spine panels when we took them off. Happy days!!
