I'm interested in DEFO position of CX and here are few questions.

1. Currently CX hiring DEFO?
Most people here say only cadet but their online application is open though...

2. I want to be based in hongkong coz I'm not from designated base port by CX. Is it possible? what about house allowances? (as far as I remember, few years back, cx provided company accomodation for expats. still valid?)

3. regarding the requirement, I think they reduced minimum compare to few years back. however what is the competitive hours for this position thesedays?

4. what is the payscale in CX thesedays?

I couldn't update information about CX for a long time.
If you could help me out, it would be very appreciated.

1. No not hiring DEFO anywhere, anyones guess when it will start again.

2. Can't be based in HKG as a DEFO new joiner, have that option after 4 years I think if hired onto a base. Used to get full expat housing if moved to HKG after base period. This is something the company are trying to change.

3. Think it is about 5000 hours with lots of jet, a few of the last DEFO were, fast jet RAF, Easy jet captain, Ryanair captain, Nimrod PIC RAF. Are ones I know of from 2008. A few of the DESOs I know were P3 PIC, C130 PIC, Dash8 PIC, etc.

4. Look on ppjn for a rough idea, is less on a base for DEFO.
