View Full Version : searching for Lancaster crews

My Step Grandfather was a tail gunner on Lancasters. Unfortunately he passed away recently and there was no record of his service left. I am trying to find out which was his last squadron and any tail numbers of aircraft he flew on. His name was Eric Kirk from Hull, that's all the info I have. If any body can help, or can steer me in the right direction I would extremely grateful. Thanks for reading.:ok:

You could try your local branch of the RAFA (RAF Association) or the RAF Historical Branch (not sure where they are located these days, moved from Whitehall to Bentley Priory some years ago) as they kept records of all serving flight creas during WW2
