View Full Version : Hercules C130 O/H Waddington??
Just being a bit inquisitive. 02 / 03 Sept a Hercules overhead RAF Waddington for the duration of the 2 days, looked to be around 5000ft, can anyone shed any light?
Thanks

God, I bet the crew were tired when they landed.

The only reason it had to land was to collect a resup of packed meals.
God, I bet the crew were tired when they landed.
Captain and co were bedded down on the trooping seats. Loadie was at the controls.

Post SDSR the Sentry and Sentinel will go, as you may know there is very little work for the C130 at the moment and this was a trial to assess the C130 in the AEW and ASTOR role, but don't tell anyone I told you :oh:
C-130K serial XV295
John, who runs the WAVE Cafe, logged it. XV295 was noted taking off and landing.

It's the new Continuous In Air Detterent system. A nuclear-powered Hercules with its back filled with D5s. They just chuck them out where needed. They've conquered crew feeding problems as they just use NASA-developed space food delivered through the refuelling probe.
